Solita Soho Hotel

Solita Soho is the complete package

If you're looking for a place to serve as the hub for your vacation in New York that can offer you a fair price and friendly service, Solita Soho is where you need to stay.

Soho is an excellent neighborhood with tons of things to do but if you're looking to explore the rest of NYC you can head just two blocks up and two blocks over to the Canal Street subway station; it's a safe and easy walk. We were about 20 minutes from Times Square, 20 minutes from Penn Station, 15 minutes from Battery Park (for Statue of Liberty Tour), and 15 minutes from the 9/11 Memorial Museum.

The front desk was staffed 24/7 and everyone we spoke with was very polite and helpful. We had an issue with our reservation (completely our fault) and they were able to fix the situation for us and even keep the same price that we had originally found. Speaking of price, you will not find a better deal.

The room was small but that is not an issue for me personally as I don't like to spend much time in the room when I'm traveling. There were four of us plus suitcases and we survived. The room could've used an update (wallpaper peeling, grungy bathtub, not enough light) but overall it suited our needs and we were very pleased. The heater worked (although we didn't need to use it) and could also function as an air conditioner for the warmer months. Overall the room was clean, the water pressure was excellent, and the beds were comfortable.

We stayed on the 9th floor, there is an elevator. We had no issues with noise (street or otherwise). They have Starbucks coffee in the morning and there is a Starbucks around the corner should you want something fancier than regular coffee. There are multiple places for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the area. WiFi was free during our stay but the morning we checked out they did charge us a $2.00/bag fee to store our luggage while we went to breakfast.

I would absolutely stay here again.
