What a B&B should be

Of all the B&Bs on our 17 day trip in Ireland, this B&B was the first one we stayed at that really encompassed what I thought a bed and breakfast should be. Donna is the BEST hostess that anyone could ask for, and her husband was just as delightful. Her omelets were divine, as were her welcome shortbread cookies. As well as this B&B having the best host, it also had the most AMAZING beds. The sheets were cool to the touch and so comfortable you sometimes didn't want to get up in the morning. I loved our room, my bed was right next to a window (I sleep much better next to a window!) and there was plenty of room for our luggage. The house was delightfully decorated, we were in room 5 which was up some stairs but we were able to leave gram's wheelchair on the main floor.

Donna was very helpful and always available. She gave the best recommendations and never hesitated to set up a tour or call a cab. She sat and chatted with me for over an hour when we first arrived and I really enjoyed our conversation. You can tell she really loves what she does, and she excels at it. If I return to Northern Ireland, you can bet I'll be staying here.
