At Sea

-DAY 9, At Sea-

9.13.16 Tuesday

Today is our last "cruising" day at sea! 😭😭😭

We slept in a little bit and then woke up and read our books, I can't believe I still haven't finished mine (The Steel Kiss by Jeffrey Deaver). Finally we got up and into our bathing suits and then to breakfast.

The deck was packed but we were still able to find chairs in the sun so we set up shop and went to get coffee and water. In a few hours we went to dip in the pool and then remembered that we'd heard something about there being a belly flop competition. Sure enough about a half hour later we were able to witness this fantastic event. The first guy did a pencil dive, the second guy a back smacker, and then finally we got to the meat of the competition. Three burlier dudes went last and they all had great belly flops.. it was quite entertaining.

Time for some alcohol! And then they had a "World's Sexiest Man" competition which was also quite entertaining. JP was there and he gave the contestants an example of how they could dance for the four female judges, who were encouraged to touch the contestants. He ripped off his shirt and did a nice sexy dance. The contestants were hilarious and also did a good job. We ordered some margaritas and watched the show before going back to our books.

5pm trivia was Rhapsody of the Seas questions and Andrew & David were pretty helpful; they usually carry the team. Danis made us show delicious drinks including one with fresh muddled cucumber. I'm going to really miss having personal bartenders, maids,  and chefs! 715p was 70s music trivia and at this point we were dressed in our 'formal' attire for our last formal dinner night! We did better than we thought for the trivia so at least we had that going for us! Roberta, one of the bartenders/waitresses that works with Danis, was participating in a "Dancing with the Crew" show at 8p and we really like her so we went to see her perform, we saw her still behind the bar at 8 and they were calling for her to come to the Centrum, it was pretty funny!

The show was very enjoyable, she was very funny and she and her partner won! I will upload a YouTube video when I get home. Neil who sometimes hosts trivia was also a finalist.

Next we were off to dinner, I was excited about the options but for dessert couldn't bring myself to try the baked alaska after my epidemiology class. After dinner we took pictures with Tetiana and then Adriana, two of our favorite people we see at dinner!

We went back to the room for a bit and then to the Centrum Lounge for the 70s disco party! It was very fun to watch, Neil and Josh were quite funny and I think JP is attractive (including his personality)! He has a really cool tattoo of the world on his bicep.

We ran into David and Andrew and just had a really excellent evening dancing the 70s disco fever night away. ♡

I'm currently suffering from heat exhaustion so don't mind the poor transcription of events. 😜☉ And EP really needs to get back to the ship. Or a Snickers.. she hangry. 😉😂
