Last Day in Germany

Thurs 10/1/15, Ingolstadt

It’s a sad last day in Germany but a happy PARTY DAY! Erica and I practiced our morning routine and I did my last load of laundry (can’t thank the two of them enough for affording me that opportunity!).

We baked cookies and cupcakes and made frosting. In German culture it is proper for you to buy or gift everyone something on your birthday, so Erica was bringing these baked goods and she planned to buy everyone shots at the pub!

On the way to the pub I drank the beer Marko gave me because in Germany it is legal to drink on the street! And in the car if you are not the driver!

When we got to the Irish Pub, Shamrock, Erica set up the tables and we got mustache sticker name tags!!! We did some karaoke but didn’t get called much, seems the DJ had favorites. Also I did not like our waitress and there was a mix up with our food :/ but all that aside I did have fun, I got to meet Erica’s school friends and work friends and they are all very cool and nice!!!

Erica’s shots came an hour or so after she ordered them, it was an Irish Flag shot! It was tasty, and we each got two since some people left. I think Erica had three! Lol. I, foolishly, was trying to keep up with Marko in the amount of Guinness we were drinking so at the moment I’m a little boozed out.

Moritz, one of Erica and Marko’s friends, signed my cast! It says, “Get well soon you dork!” :) He’s very funny. Overall a great night for E’s birthday! I loved meeting so many people!

The next morning Erica and Marko had to be up at like 3am for their flight to Stockholm. Yuck! I vaguely remember them leaving and thank goodness I woke up to my alarm at 0525.. I had a taxi coming at 0630 and I had to shower and pack the last of my stuff.. including folding the laundry from the day before!

My cab ended up being 10 or so minutes late which was fine except I was about to start walking! Still had plenty of time to buy my ticket and get on the train to Munich. Last photo us me on my way to the ALPS! In Austria.
