Happy Birthday Erica!
TODAY IS ERICA’S BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!! And she’s rocking her sweet Red Wings shirt from becky and her new pumas.
We got up and I stubbed my toe coming out of the bathroom and almost went down, it was pretty comical and I’m sitting here laughing thinking about it. It hurt like a bitch though and now my toe is all bruised.
Erica works out every day, the first day we ran together but since then I’ve just been biking beside her since I didn’t really bring proper workout clothes. I enjoy our morning time! This morning we also went to a laundromat to was E and M’s mud run clothes. It was fun and interesting watching E try to decipher the German words on the machines!
Anyway, we got a late start and got to Erica’s favorite breakfast place at 1230, only to learn that they stop serving breakfast at 12, so that was a bummer. Our food was still great though! Erica got “flammkuchen” which is kind of a flat pizza with cheese and whatever else, it looked good. I got a falafel burger with potato wedges. Yum!
Then we went walking around Ingolstadt and along the Danube river. It is the second longest river in Europe and runs through ten countries! Of course people have started putting locks on the bridge, I guess that’s the new thing now.
Across the river there’s a large park and garden maintained by the city but Audi often puts things on in that area, it’s a big part of the city! I also learned that the city hall here is called ‘Rathaus’, we went by the old and new buildings. There’s also an old castle in town with a Bavarian Army museum inside, and when we were walking around it I didn’t realize there were steps and I almost went down for a second time today.
We went to a tattoo place so E could get her first tat but the place was way overpriced so instead we went to a store and got snacks.. I got a pretzel with cheese! When we got back Erica signed my cast and we watched some impractical jokers, that show is hilarious! We got pizza for dinner and then settled in to get a good night’s sleep before PARTY DAY!!!
