Zietzsch Home in Ingolstadt
Today is my first day in Ingolstadt (where Erica and Marko live)!
First we had a delicious breakfast at Jens and Franzi’s and she came down for tea so that was nice to see her! The parents came to say goodbye and we got to watch the movie Jens took of the run with his GoPro. I got excited when I saw myself taking photos of them, lol!
Next we were on our way to the Zietzsch home!!! They live in the building that belongs (and is connected to) St. Pius church in Ingolstadt. It’s actually pretty cool because the bell rings every 15 minutes (I like it a lot!) and also later that night the choir was practicing and we could hear it, gram would’ve liked it very much!!!
Anyway, as soon as we arrived I got SEVERAL gifts, which was completely unnecessary but so fucking awesome!!! I am very spoiled by my friends, and especially these guys, who are not only letting me stay with them but are also feeding me, letting me wash clothes, and so many other things.. and then on top of that they bought me all of these gifts!!!
I got a box full of German goodies- snacks that Erica likes or thought I would like, beer, radler, a wine she likes, some chocolate stuff, a bunch of other stuff, an Audi pen from Marko, a puma pen (I love pens!), a STEIN from where Marko and his brother were born! A hockey program.. they are taking me to a HOCKEY GAME! Erica made me coupons and the first one was for my first beer at Oktoberfest, the second one for lunch at her favorite cafe, and the third for tickets to the hockey game!!! She also wrote me a very nice card which has dogs all over it!!! I cried.
She had a very nice room set up for me and cleaned a shelf off for me in my room and the bathroom and the shower!! I feel so welcome and so comfortable! Oh and she also folded my shower towel into a swan, like they do on cruise ships!!!
Marko made a delicious macaroni and cheese dinner, it was very very good! He also makes bread from scratch so we had a bunch of that. AND before dinner he made us each a cappuccino! This guy is a regular kitchen wizard!
Then Erica and I just chilled out together and watched like the last three episodes of last seasons Grey’s Anatomy! It was great.
I also called my parents and made my dad send me photos of the dogs, I miss them so much! I thought he said Bentley got BIGGER and I was mad but he said Bentley is a DIGGER! Silly pup.
