Homeward Bound

This is the last blog until my next vacation 😭😭😭

We got up around 8a, finished packing, had breakfast. Had a great Uber driver that took us for a short ride over to Best Western where I had rented a car through Enterprise. They didn't have a standard so I got upgraded again to a Hyundai Santa Fe (an SUV). The seat was up so high that my head almost touched the ceiling! Thanks to Emily's googling skills we figured out how to lower it and started our drive to the airport!

I dropped her off at MCO, Orlando's airport, and we parted ways 😢. Part two of vacation is over! I resumed my drive and after stopping twice and running into some traffic I made it, toll free, to FLL, Ft. Lauderdale's airport! I arrived around 4p and my flight was scheduled to begin boarding at 514p when I learned I had to wait for a shuttle to get to the terminal from the rental car drop off. I got VERY nervous but the shuttle only took a few minutes to arrive and a few minutes' drive.

I got my bag checked and thanked the rock gods that it weighed 49.6lbs and not 50. 🎸 The security line was not very long at all so I breezed through to TSA where my backpack got run through the X-ray machine twice and then flagged to be checked. The TSA lady who had checked me in said, "what's up, Red?" And I told her my chocolate frogs must have set of the alarm. "Chocolate frogs?!" So I explained, she swabbed them for explosives, and I went on my merry way.

The plane ride was nice, I watched 'Bad Moms'.. meh. Then before I knew it we were landing!

Mom & John came to pick me up from the airport (they also dropped me off)! BIG thanks to them!!! Also thanks to my gram for watching my babies, dad & Lisa for taking us on the cruise, and Em for planning everything for Orlando! I had an EXCELLENT vacation!

When I got home I doled out some gifts, including the chocolate frogs; one for me, one for gram, one for John. They come with hologram cards, just like in the movie.. and they couldn't have been more appropriate! Gram got Helga Hufflepuff, John got Dumbledore, and I got Godric Gryffindor! 🤓☇
