Arrival in the Scottish Highlands

A "wee" update! On the night of 9/21 I was headed to the Scottish Highlands, it was a beautiful train ride but got dark not long after we left Edinburgh. Unfortunately the there is only one track when you start to get further north and we found out we were going to be late to Inverness, which meant that I was not going to make my train to Invergordon. The company, ScotRail, set up a cab for me and three other women. They were dropped off in Beauly and Dingwall and the I was taken to Invergordon. The cabbie was from transylvania and drove twice the speed limit on a dark, narrow, winding one lane road but I survived! He did let me use my phone to call Gavin since there was no wifi, so that was nice.

Gavin is SO awesome! He was at the train station in like two seconds and he set me up in a house his dad rents to guys that work on the oil rigs.. a whole HOUSE all to myself. It is so beautiful!!! I wish the dogs were here, they’d love it! There’s no wifi at the house but that’s okay, it’s nice to go without for a few days. We had an amazing day today and have another one planned for tomorrow, can’t wait to share!

P.S.- EP, I saw SO MANY sheep today! ♡♡♡
