Pit Stop in Dublin

Thank god I have to roll gram around in a wheelchair or else I’d have gained a million pounds in this vacation. So much Guinness and so much food!!!

The first picture is of the tram here, called the Luas. And by here I mean in Dublin. It’s nice & reminds me of the L in Chicago.

The second is of the funny condiments here! Missing is the “brown sauce” that they also usually have but I think it’s similar to that HP sauce.. One packet of it I saw had apples and onions on the front of it.

The third is of my ridiculously delish breakfast, after I already ate an egg and a piece of toast. It was SO GOOD. The beans come in this tomato sauce that tastes like tomato soup. I was craving that nourishment though since we ate only a late lunch last night and have not had our typical Irish breakfast since we arrived in Meath.

That breakfast is from Madigan’s Bar & Restaurant inside the Dublin Connolly train station. The train tickets were not in a good time table for us, for the first time so far! And it’s not a big deal, just a few hours lost. This morning we called a taxi and he brought us to the Slane bus station where we caught the Collins Coach back to Dublin. Bus was full but we had the same bus driver as we did from Dublin to Slane and he was very nice. I had to stand and gram caught a seat directly next to the driver. He told us about a card game he’d play with his gram in Florida called “Michigan.”

Next we caught the Luas to the Dublin Connolly station where we had our breakfast and now are just waiting until our train to Belfast leaves at 1320.

Just grand!
