Galway, Ireland

Holy moly, I love galway! Today was awesome, we got in at about 230 but our room wasn’t ready so we had to wait a minute. We got ready and went for a walk across town to galway cathedral. I bought myself some celtic knot earrings and found my bestie the last item on her list.

We finally found a place to eat, Quay Street Kitchen, and I have to say it was my favorite place thus far because they had a veggie burger! And it was DELICIOUS!!! I was very satisfied.

Next we went back to the B&B, that’s our key in the first picture, old school!, and got ready to listen to some music!!! We set out for the closest pub I read good things about, An Pucan (Gaelic). There was trad Irish folk being played and we met some people on a pilgrimage from NY. Gram talked to them a bit and when I went to get our drinks I met Ronan and Darren, two guys hanging out at the bar. They were nice and we got our picture taken for the pub’s website (probably facebook) so I thought that was pretty cool!!! They also thought my hair was real! Ronan said he has a twin brother with the same color hair as me and the same mount of freckles, just enough. That Irish charm.

The next band to play was in back of the pub and they were rock/indie so gram wanted to go. Ronan suggested two other places so we went down the street.. We passed one of them, the name escapes me, but they had no music, so we continued on. We passed another pub, unrecommended, but we could hear the music. We went in and had a great time!!! The guys & gal were delightful and played wonderfully. They wanted us to sing along, one of them tried to dance with me. They sang us a song and let us hold their instruments (photo four), videos to follow. When we left the curly haired one asked how long we were staying and said he must get my number, first guy in the third photo.

People are so nice in Ireland, I love it here!!!
